Can Creative People Get Organized?

I always thought I was left- AND right-brained and could do it all. But the more I write, the worse I get about logging checks that come in, logging submissions going out and logging publications that may or may not want to use my work in a few months (something I need to follow up on and need a system for doing so).

Since you are a creative person, do you have trouble keeping track of the organization and financial parts of your writing business?
